"Now faith is the assurance that what we hope for will come about and the certainty that what we cannot see exists" Hebrews 11:1 NIV
Faith is usually defined as a belief that is not based on proof. In the context of religion, faith is the belief in God or teachings of religion. Combining these two popular definitions, we can then say that faith believes that God exists even when we cannot see or touch him. In a world trained not to believe in something unless we see definitive proof of its existence, how do we grow our faith in God? We've asked a few members of our community, and here are their suggestions. SO IF YOU’RE INTERESTED IN GROWING YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD… THEN KEEP READING.
STEP 1: READ THE BIBLE
The Bible is more than just an ancient book full of stories that you can connect with your life. It gives us an understanding of God’s character and allows us to see how he uses his gracious and faithful traits in different situations. After reading your bible regularly you will realize how loving, holy, and unchanging God really is.
"But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name" (John 20:31). When you spend time reading the Bible, you will sooner or later accept God and the miracles and things he has done. We may not hear from God himself, but through apostles like Paul, who wrote in Romans 10:17, "Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ." You can not expect to grow a relationship with God without having an understanding of how and why he is amazing. And reading the messages is the only way that you are going to gain an understanding that will allow you to grow your faith. We hear the word of God from others. If you want to strengthen your faith, you must have a regular diet of reading the Bible. Listen, there is no need to try to read the bible from front to back in one week. Take it slow so you can truly understand what you are reading.Take a trip to a local church and see when they offer bible study. This will put you in a space where others are also learning from the scriptures. Keep in mind there are different versions that vary slightly. So grab your favorite interpretation and get to reading.
STEP 2: PUT THE WORD INTO PRACTICE
Like most lifestyle changes you won't know its effects until you apply it in real life. It's one thing reading about it, but it's totally another thing if you begin to apply it. Honestly talk is cheap, be about that action! Most people would say that putting the Word of God in motion brings you closer to his intention AND puts you in a great opportunity to learn how he works.
There are many ways you can incorporate the word of god into your everyday life. For example, giving tithes regularly is one way you can put the word into practice. Reading about it is simple, but when giving a percentage of your income each time, you will feel a sense of selflessness beginning to embrace you. Another way can be by regularly praying and talking to god. Keeping that comfortable relationship with God will bring you closer to his and your purpose. It is also one of the fastest ways to grow spiritually. That’s what you are here for!

STEP 3: SURROUND YOURSELF WITH PEOPLE OF FAITH
Whether you know it or not you are consciously and unconsciously influenced by your surroundings including the company you keep. People say you are who you hang and spend time with. So, if you surround yourself with people who do not have it to be faithful, chances are, you will be influenced by the same mindset. Let's put it into perspective… If you hang out with people that party all the time more than likely you have something in common with them. And it's probably partying as well. Same concept if you want to find faith you want to make sure that the people around you are either supporting you or have the same ideology as you. It makes the process easier and more enjoyable when you have people on your side. Surrounding yourself with people of faith, you'll be influenced by their mindset. With time it will rub off on you.
CONCLUSION:
This process may be difficult and even long but with a little faith it can take you to wonderful places with the man above. Starting off with these easy steps can get you on track to finding your faith. Find a support group, a church, or even a friend that is willing to join the journey. With a little faith you are going to get to where you want to be!
